Today is the last day of school before Christmas and that means it is the day for class parties. I was asked to bring in some cupcakes and these Christmas cupcakes turned out so cute! I want to save one for myself. 🙂 As always, my life is ridiculously busy and just like anyone else, I’m ready for my long winter’s nap, but I still wanted to make something that was cute for my son’s class. These Santa and Reindeer cupcakes were simple to decorate. Exactly how I like things!
Before decorating these cupcakes, make sure to gather all of your supplies before getting started. You will need to add the decorations directly after frosting them so that the sprinkles and other decorations will stick.
- Vanilla and Chocolate frosting
- Chocolate chips and mini chocolate chips
- Red sprinkles
- Small twist pretzels
- Red M&Ms
To make the Santa cupcakes, frost a cupcake with white frosting.
Sprinkle red candy sprinkles on the top 1/3 of the cupcake.
Cut mini-marshmallows lengthwise and make the brim of the hat.
Cut other mini-marshmallows in half to use for the beard and the cotton ball on the hat.
Add two chocolate chips for the eyes and a red M&M for the nose.
Aren’t these jolly little cupcakes?
To make the Reindeer cupcakes, frost a cupcake with chocolate frosting.
Add two pretzels for the antlers.
Cut two marshmallows in half and add two mini-chocolate chips to the center for the eyes.
Add a red M&M for the nose and you’re done.
My son was so excited to take these to class today and I’m hoping the kids will love them.
Just a few more days until Christmas! Are you ready??
